Julian is a Senior Product Designer at RTL+, shaping emotionally resonant and boldly crafted interface experiences across one of Germany’s most dynamic entertainment platforms.
Born and raised in Berlin, he now lives in the vibrant Schillerkiez in Neukölln — a neighborhood full of contrast, color, and character that reflects his own creative spirit.
Before joining RTL+, he worked at BILD and WELT, where he deepened his expertise in UX/UI, brand design, prototyping, and design systems. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Print and Media Technology from Beuth University of Applied Sciences, with research focused on project management and the perception of online advertising.
A formative milestone in his career was becoming part of the small, fast-moving team that helped shape today’s RTL+ platform — a time defined by hands-on experimentation, end-to-end ownership, and meaningful product impact.
His work is guided by a love for emotive design, bold visual storytelling, and collaborative processes. He looks beyond the expected, enjoys working across disciplines, and balances structure with creative expression. Outside of RTL+, he takes on selected freelance projects and mentors design trainees and apprentices.
As a true ’90s kid, his superhero has always been Alf. When he’s not designing, you’ll find him jogging through Berlin, digging in his garden, or giving his old GDR dacha a fresh new look.
